Chef Wins BOB and BOS

September 3/07

We attended the Cornwall District Kennel Club Annual Conformation Show Labour Day weekend. We had a great time and Chef earned 11 more points.

On Saturday, he was amazing in the ring and won Best of Breed after competing with 11 other Boxers, which earned him 11 points, a huge ribbon and $25, which got him a new leash at the accessory shop !

Sunday was not a good day. There was a delay in the judging and he ended up being handled by someone he doesn't know and who doesn't know him. That's show biz but we won't go there ...

On Monday, though, he came in
second with Best of Opposite Sex, which is the dog selected as the best in the competition but is the opposite sex of the Best of Breed winner. He didn't earn any points for this but he's doing so well for a dog who's barely a year old.

The show was held at Farran Park in Ingleside, Ont., a camp site right on the St. Lawrence River with a gorgeous view and clean, fresh air. The weather was great and we met some really nice people. It was a great way to end the season of outdoor shows for this year.
Unfortunately, any shows we will attend from hereonin until next summer, will be held indoors.

Chef looked stunning in the ring, as always, and it's obvious to everyone how much he enjoys showing off. He was definitely born to show.
