This is me and Beauty playing hide 'n seek this evening. Course, it's easy for the little brat. She's not on a leash. But I played along just to amuse her. I have to admit, I did get a little worked up there and I took the game far more seriously than I thought I would. Oh, and don't worry. When I got my foot caught in the cable, I wasn't hurt. It's a 50-foot tie-out and I just keep forgetting how much freedom 50 feet gives me, especially when I'm in a frenzy. Anyway, Hawkeye here saw the little squirt jump in the tree and I found her. So I won. So there, Miss Smartypants.

Happy Mother's Day, Mama! I picked these flowers just for you because I know tulips are your favourite flowers. You're spending the day working so hard at the shop, just like you've done all week, night and day. You've put in a lot of hours over there and I really miss you.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, MAMA.
xooxox Your dog,
My brother Daniel gave Mama a Mother's Day card from me and the poem in it was so cute that we have to share it with you:
You feed me when I'm hungry.
You keep water in my dish.
You let me sleep on anything,
Or any place I wish.
You sometimes let me lick your hands.
Or even lick your face.
Despite the fact I've licked myself
In every private place.
You taught me how to come when called.
You taught me how to sit.
You always let me walk outside
So I can take a XXXX stroll.
You'll always have my loyalty.
Up to the bitter end.
'Cause afterall, it's plain to see
That you are my best friend!
Not only is it such a great poem, it's all true. Mama taught me everything I know and makes sure I don't forget any of it. And she always makes sure I have food and water and exercize and discipline and clean things and medical care and safety ...and fun. And she always hugs me and kisses my face and plays with me and calls me funny names. Daniel and Papa take excellent care of me too and are my very best friends. But Mama does things only Mamas can do, so she is my very special very best friend.
