A collar, a plaque and a big stickeroo

July 9/ 08
.
Today was my lucky day! I've been waiting for weeks for my new leather collar to arrive and it's finally here!

It has my name engraved on it as well as the Chinese symbol meaning "long life." We had it made at First Dog off the Porch in Ottawa by a lady named Jennifer.

Then I got my Champion's plaque from the Canadian Boxer Club.

My breeder, Barry, was holding it for me since an awards dinner held last month in Toronto. Plaques were given to all Canadian Boxers who became Champions in 2007, like my little ol' self.
Then tonight on my walk, guess what I found? That's right. A big stickeroo. For some reason, big sticks slip out of my mouth. So Mama held one end and I had my teeth in the other, and we walked through the streets like that. So many people were laughing because we were a funny-looking team.

Mama says I should wear pants.

I did the final leg of the trip home, somehow managing to keep the stick in my mouth by myself most of the time. When I got it to the back yard, I munched on it for a while, coughed up some wood chips, and tossed the rest of it onto my stick pile. My stick pile is growing by the day and as soon as it reaches a respectable size, we'll take a picture of it and show you. I figure that should be pretty near August or September... 2009.

Anyway, I was a proud and happy dog tonight, wearing my spif new collar and carrying my big new stick.

Hey congratulations Chef! Your bum looks good in pictures, too - every dog knows that, but the humans don't seem to appreciate it!

I got a great present in the goody exchange - it was a huge success. As my human has moved out of her office at the university, we have only a dodgy connection at the moment, waiting for a better one within the fortnight. Until then, though, blogging is a bit slow. - You are welcome to post anything from my blog - one of the posts is about my treats I got in the post for the goody exchange! I sent goodies to the Leuradlaes -

hope this helps

Chef, You look smokin' hot in that collar! Can't wait to see your stick pile. I would like to start a tennis ball pile, but mom says I'd never be able to leave it alone to grow.

That is a VERY spiffy collar!! We love it- we just collars with our names on them as well, so we know what it is like to have a spiffy new collar (although they aren't as spiffy as yours! :)). Your stick pile sounds awesome... around our house there are only smaller sticks and Opal eats them before we can start a pile!

Chef! That is an awesome collar! My human gets me collars all the time! I don't have a personal engraved on! My human will have to look into this, I have to keep up with the styles too yah know...

As for that stick, I bet it tasted soooooooo delicious! And good job on the stick pile! I can't wait to see it when it's full grown!

Tell your mom that my human got the cutest pair of shoes, and I tried to eat them. I swear I saw the devil in her eyes come out when I went to lick the shoe. It was way scary!

Slurp!

That collar is one wicked accessory Chef!
Say no to pants (unless your chewing on them in an adolescent frenzy) keep showing off your manhood and stand out from us lesser men.

And congrats on your award- You sure do win a lot of them! The only one I have ever gotten was the "Biggest Pain in the Rear" award - My mom gave it to me. What can I say!
Paris saw your bum shot and says she is "in love"!

Stylin' Chef in your new collar. Pondering on the Plaque picture. Maybe your ancestor tried to break a big stickeroo off the maple tree and got sort of speared????Yikkkess!!! Play safe pal and only pick stickies up off the ground.

Congrats on the award and the collar is beautiful!

You look really sharp in that collar. Now everyone will know your name. Cool. That is very disturbing about the poor boxer and the red maple on the plaque. Hope it wasn't too painful.
