Stick Pile Update / My Goody package

July 16 /08

Drum roll please!

This is the biggest stick I have ever found. Isn't it just a sight to behold?

This is what my stick pile looks like now:

Sticks & stones: For easy access and a good view, my stick pile is lying on the stones at the bottom of the rock garden. So when I'm not chewing on them, I can admire them from my favourite lazydog spot on the lawn.

Hunkering down and doing some serious stick work.

Ah yes... stick #42, my favourite.

Lights. Camera. Action.

My sticks are very organized. I have a whole system going on in that pile... ok, now #37 is my favourite. To the bottom of the pile you go, 42. Sorry. Maybe Friday.

Guess what???

My Goody Exchange package arrived !

At last, my Good Exchange package from Beasley arrived after a long delay by the post office. I got the most amazing gifts and I was totally beside myself with excitement when I opened up that box.

There was a really nice card inside with a note from Bease. Then, the first thing I pulled out was a Kong Wubba. I didn't even wait for it to be unwrapped - I took it into the livingroom and started chewing it right throught the plastic. Then I came right back to the kitchen to see what other goodies there were in the box. There was a Fire Hose chewy and a Tire Tug Ball. Amazing stuff. And there was the Beasley signature chewy: a T-Bone steak! And a Bully Stick. You just can't find Bully Sticks in Montreal and I've been wanting one for the longest time. Man oh man, this was one huge haul.

So after all the gifts were on the floor, I ran from toy to toy because I just didn't know what to play with first. I started swinging the fire hose around in the air and it flew right into Mama's face. Bease also sent me a real cool leash and collar and a skull bandana which I put on immediately.

Slobbering on my second favourite T-Bone... you're my favourite T-Bone.

I love all my gifts. Well-done, Bease. Definitely worth the wait.

Thanks so much.

There was an issue with the blogger photos when I came over to check your post...so I used my paw-magination and boy was it a giant pile 'o sticks!! Great video too.

Chef, please, please do not be mad at me...I pleaded with my mom to take me to the post office on Saturday but she couldn't take me - something about issues with my dad2b's suit (for the wedding this Saturday) that had to get rectified - huge debacle - Chef I have your treats/toys and I have been a good girl too and NOT tried any. I promise to get these out to you as soon as my stupid mom can take me! Please do not be mad - this wedding is making people crazy!

Hey tuff guy!

Once I was playing with sticks and got something called a ticky. Mom kinda sorta freaked out. Then I learned that tickies are like l'il vampire bugs that can make you sick.

I haven't touched a stick since. :X

Well, this is soooooo not fair! We would have very impressive piles of sticks too, but Jan doesn't let us keep them. She makes us leave them up the street and pick them up again (if they're still there) on our next walk. We've found some very biiiiig ones too.

Buddy: When I was a puppy, I tried to bring home an entire tree limb - many times bigger than I was. But Jan said nooooooo.

Ohhhhh yea Chef...oh yeaaaaa buddy! You get that Wubba! You totally know how to play with that thing right! I knew I could count on you to make a happy home for those toys! Please, next time that you get all excited to play with the toys...try not to hit your momma in the face, you gotta look at her, and if she looks mad with a black eye...well I dunno, but I think that could be bad news!

I knew you needed a bully stick, my human wasn't sure, but I told her that since I ate your original one...she for sure had to get you a newer fatter bully stick!!!

Hehehehe! Enjoy the glory that are toys!!!

Crikey how rude of the post office to hang onto your pressie for so long. Maybe they wanted to keep them for themselves....lol.

Protecting your sticks, eh? You are such a smart dog for keeping all your sticks in one pile. That's such a good idea! It makes it so much easier to keep an eye on them. Wow....I will have to keep that in mind if I ever get a pile of sticks.

CHef, do you put all your sticks into the pile, or do your people do that? That is too funny! Yay for new toys! Don't destroy them too quickly, you never know when you will get another package of toys!

Mr Chef, have you been to England lately??? There is a stick thing going on in my wood, at first I thought it was the woodland pirates, BUT now I'm wondering if it is a Mr. Chef catalogue of sticks?

Hi, Chef...

You are working really hard on that stick pile...& it is quite impressive, I must say...

I spend alot of time rearranging the sticks in my yard...Sometimes I just don't like where they are, so I find a better place for them...

My sticks are really little though...Cuz you know, I'm kind of little myself...

Nice presents from T-Bone Beasley...
