What a lucky boy I am. I got to meet two of my best blogbuddies yesterday, and we had a great time together. Clover, who lives in Ottawa, visited Montreal with her mom and dad, Jessica and Andrew. And they met up with Sophie Brador, her mom Sherry, Lola's mom Lisa, and Mama, Papa and me for our first ever playdate.

Lola wasn't there and we missed her very much, but hopefully we'll meet her another time.

Our meet-up was planned a couple of months ago, and the excitement was really mounting. I couldn't wait to finally see my friends after blogging with them for so long.

We met at Beaver Lake, or Lac des Castors, as it's called in French, a 101-hectare park which sits on top of Mount Royal, a mountain that's right in the middle of Montreal. It's considered the jewel of our city where everyone goes for their nature fix. It's got beautiful wooded trails, ducks in the lake and all kinds of critters scooting around. It also has mounted police and the Lookout, which gives you a beautiful view of the Montreal skyline.

..........Beaver Lake is right in the middle of our city.

Mama and Papa were reminiscing about the Lookout and how they used to go there when they were dating to do hanky panky in the car! Ha! Ha!

.........The Lookout and a view of Montreal's skyline .

Anyway, first I saw Sophie. She is so beautiful! She's got the softest blonde furs and the most dreamy green eyes I've ever seen. She's very elegant, like a queen, and she has great manners. I like that in a girl!

Sophie - the great Canadian diva.

Sophie with her mom Sherry, who's giving me tickles.

We strolled all the way to the top of the walking path to the Chalet to meet Clover and her folks. Oh, that Clover is so darned cute. She's very petite and all sweetness and energy. I really adore her. Sophie and I were very careful not to scare her because her parents were worried about her meeting big dogs like us. Clover was attacked recently by a large dog at obedience school and it traumatized her. But she wasn't afraid of us at all. She's really fiesty. I like that in a girl too.

Clover gave us a most enthusiastic greeting.

n

............Aw, Clover, all I want is a Puggykiss!

Clover and Sophie were allowed to run off-leash for a while. They're so lucky. I'm not allowed to run off-leash unless I'm in a fenced-in park, because I might run off if I see a squirrel or a bird, and then I might get lost and I'd miss my parents, and Mama would cry, and ... oh ... I don't even want to think about it. But I had lots of fun with my friends just the same. We were jumping around in the leaves and kicking up a whole lot of dust.

The mamarazzi was out in full force and taking pictures from all sides ... three moms - three cameras. Lisa took this one and that's Mama behind me taking another one ...

... and there's Lisa taking another picture with Mama doing the exact same thing behind her. I bet Sherry was right behind Mama taking a picture too.

No, I am not eating Clover here.

If I wasn't leashed, I'd have acquired some swimming skills yesterday ... I don't like the water, but I think I'd have jumped right in the lake and played with those ducks ... or something.

While Clover and Sophie ran off-leash, Mama took me for a walk to the Lookout. But I gave her a real hard time because I wanted to be off-leash too ... this is how I try to get control of my leash so I could run off and play ... Yes, I was a very bad boy here.

It was an incredibly fun playdate and I hope I get to meet up with my friends again very soon. Mama and Papa were also so happy to meet them and their parents.

And Lola, next time I really hope you'll join us. We missed you so much.

By the way, my singing lessons are coming along. I've started to vocalize when Mama yodels and coaxes me. I haven't decided if I like to sing, but I'll let you know.

Have a good week!

Big, big kissies to SYphie, ClYver and LYla

You all look like you had a great time. That is a really nice park. Arrow can't run loose unless he's fenced in cause he chases squirrels and doesn't come back. Maybe you're a hunter like him.

I can see how you are showing off your boxerness in those photos. You must be tired from all that stacking.
