I'm back!

January 19 /09

Oh, it's so good to be back to blogging!

Actually, it didn't take as long as we thought to get our trusty old laptop humming again. But that's because Mama checked and double checked and triple checked and went with the Dell Support Technician who sounded like he knew what he was talking about. Those techies at Dell should really get their act together. Half of them said we needed a new hard drive, and half of them said we didn't. And the second half was split on why the computer crashed and how we should fix it. One even wanted to charge us for fixing it even though it's still under warantee
!

Poor old Mama. She spent so much time on the phone I'm worried her ear might fall off. But she learned a lot about our computer in the process, especially when it came to downloading software, setting up the desktop and different media options. Maybe she should go and work for Dell!

Anyway, while the computer was broken, I read and posted your comments from Mama's Blackberry. Did you ever try using one of those things? The keys are so darned small, especially for a dog with big floppy paws like mine. And then I had a terrible headache from looking at that itty-bitty little screen. I honestly don't know how Mama texts on it. Maybe it's because she wears glasses. Anyway, it's good to have my laptop back, that's all I can say.

The other night, Mama came sniffing around me, and said I stink and need a bath. I think she was just bored. She was cleaning the house like crazy so it just followed that I needed cleaning too, I guess. But I showed her - I abolutely refused to come upstairs when she called me. I sat and stared at her while she called my name from the top of the stairs. She was getting pretty ticked off so she came down and actually pushed me all the way up to the bathroom! But I really had my brakes on. There was no way I was going to that tub without a fight. Can you imagine that skinny little woman hoisting 72 pounds of stubborn dog up two flights of stairs? It was very funny!

I coudn't stop laughing all through my bath.

nThen I decided I was going to jump out of the tub and make her chase me ... I did it three times!

Finally, I shook the water off and splashed it all over her! So she threw a towel on me and the fun was over. But it was the best bath I ever had.

Well, I really did miss being in touch with all of you. So off I go to visit your blogs.

Glad you are back. My mom gets in the shower with me now. She just takes another one once she is doing bathing me. It's the only way to make sure I stay in the tub. haha

So your mom has already had her daily shower! hehehehe

Oh Chef....

Sorry yer Mom had problems with 'er Dell computer....but I can tell ya....her problems might not be over yet. Gram has a Dell Laptop and December a year ago it crashed....think it was because the hard drive was almost full.....fortunately Gram had backed up most of the stuff on an external hard drive before it crashed.

But she bought a new laptop computer before she formatted the hard drive in the Dell and reloaded the software....It's a good thing she did cause about 6 months later it did the same thing. After the second crash she bought a new hard drive fer it (twice the size of the old one). Can ya believe such an old lady installed the new hard drive and reloaded all the software again? Gram refuses ta give up the old Dell since it has Windows XP in it and runs software she loves while Vista won't load that software up.

Hope yer Mom's computer is OK now but just in case....make sure ya back everythin' up.....

Sorry about yer bath Chef.....do ya really weigh 72 pounds???? That's a lot of boxer fer a little lady....maybe ya should cooperate a bit more next time...

Do like I do to teach your momma a lesson... first opportunity you have after a bath, go roll on some dead animal or in some poop. Rub it real good on your face. He he. Makes mama swear she'll never bathe me again...

Love,

Maika xoxo

Don't listen to her, she's evil. Baths are divine. I love baths!

I wish I was a big guy like you sometimes. When it's bathtime I don't really have the strength to resist. I can shake water all over her, though. Muahaha..

Great job resisting your bath and making a big mess. I bet your mom will think twice before she tries that again!

Glad your computer is all better. Is that Blackberry thing something you can eat?

Glad you're back, Chef!
And it's a good thing you don't get tied to the tub like I do. That means I can't get away. :(

Those berry things sure darn hard to use with big handsome paws and you look such a girl trying to type with your nails - you have my empathy Chef. And have you tried those mouse pads, boy they are out of control, us big pawed lads need a good sturdy keyboard and the girls can keep the accessories.
Glad your back so quick.

Chef,
G-Mom had a similar experience with Dell. She said they were rude and she would never buy a Dell again. I heard her say alot of bad words while she was talking to them....he he.
